Meditation in Daily life

If you known some of Yoga in basic theory, heart of that is the breath which have to do with your motion at that time, such as
  • when you curl your body, you have to EXHALE, try to squeeze out your breath from body.
  • when you stretch your body, you have to INHALE, sniff the air into your body as much as you can.
It's basic theory of Yoga which different from basic of Buddhist meditation. In Buddhist Meditation have just observe it only that your breath 's in or out at that time, don't command it. But you can mix it together.

Example : When you bend down to pick something on the floor, you can EXHALE and INHALE when you pull up. It's easy to do. It's not necessary that you have to INHALE or EXHALE according to the theory of Yoga, you have just take some technic from them.

Meditation - Easy As 1-2-Breathe!

By Shannon Curtin

The purpose of breathing meditation is to create a calm and peaceful mind. A peaceful mind is free from worries and mental discomfort. To Meditate:

First you must set the stage for meditation by stopping distractions and making your mind clearer. This can be done through simple breathing meditation.

1. Choose a quiet place and sit comfortably. Sitting may be in the traditional cross legged position, a chair, or any comfortable position that allows you back to be straight to prevent sluggishness.

2. Partially close your eyes and begin to focus on the natural rhythm of your breath. Be aware of the breath enters and exits your nostrils.

3. If you mind seems busy at first that is normal. You may be tempted to follow different thoughts as they arise. Try to resist these and remain focused on your breath.

Don't give up. Practicing patiently will gradually teach your mind to focus and the stray thoughts will subside. You will soon experience inner peace and relaxation. Stay in this state of mental calm for a while.

Breathing meditation is simply the first stage in deeper forms of meditation, but it is quite affective. It is important to learn to control your mind before advancing.

• Stress and tension normally come from an unruly or restless mind. Once you can control the your thoughts and create stillness of your mind you will experience happiness and inner peace. This form of contentment helps to cope with everyday stressors such as kids, deadlines, bills, etc. Difficult situations will still arise, but you will be able to handle them with ease. In turn your relationships with others and yourself will improve. It's as easy as 1-2- breathe.
